Celebrating the St Patrick’s Music & Arts Festival 2026 at Scotch Hall Shopping Centre

From the 14th to 17th of March 2026, Scotch Hall Shopping Centre came alive with colour, culture, and community spirit as we proudly hosted the vibrant St Patrick’s Music & Arts Festival 2026. Set along the scenic banks of the River Boyne, the festival brought together families, friends, and visitors for four unforgettable days of celebration. One of the most magical highlights of the festival was the arrival of St Patrick himself, who made a truly unique entrance by travelling up the Boyne—thanks to the fantastic team at Boyne River Rescue. This special moment delighted crowds of all ages and created a memorable start to the festivities.

A celebration of Irish culture was at the heart of the event, with the Gaeilge Hub—kindly supported by Scoil Aonghusa Gaelscoil—offering visitors an interactive and engaging way to experience the Irish language. From fun activities to cultural learning, it was a wonderful space for all ages to connect with Gaeilge.

The Drogheda Pantomime Exhibition was another standout feature, showcasing the rich history and colourful legacy of local pantomime. It offered a nostalgic and entertaining glimpse into one of Drogheda’s much-loved traditions.
Families also enjoyed the ever-popular Leprechaun Treasure Hunt, which brought a sense of adventure and excitement to younger visitors as they explored the centre in search of hidden surprises.
The Cottage Market added charm and creativity to the festival, with a fantastic range of local artisans, craftspeople, and unique handmade goods on display. It was the perfect opportunity to support local businesses and discover something special.

Food vendors kept everyone fuelled throughout the event, offering a delicious variety of options—from traditional Irish favourites to modern street food flavours.
Live music on the Riverside Stage created a lively and uplifting atmosphere across the weekend, with talented performers providing the perfect soundtrack to the celebrations. Meanwhile, the Kids’ Céilí Disco kept younger festival-goers entertained with music, dancing, and plenty of fun. Free events also included magic acts, face painting, Drogheda Comhaltas, local dance crews and choirs!

A spectacular fireworks display, lighting up the night sky provided a breathtaking part of the celebrations.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who joined us for the St Patrick’s Music & Arts Festival 2026. Your support and enthusiasm made it a truly special event, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Scotch Hall Shopping Centre again soon for more exciting experiences.
